Welcome to offshore-wind.de

You will find a lot of valuable and interesting information about offshore wind energy on our pages, which are written and updated for you on a regular basis by the Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena), the German Energy Agency.

Electrical power from offshore wind farms can and should make an important contribution to future energy and climate policies in Germany. Average wind forces at sea are high enough to offer an enormous potential in energy. Modern wind power technology, now so reliable and cost-effective on land, will enable us to exploit this potential.

Puplication of the Study TradeWind

Bild TradeWind   An international consortium with participation of the German Energy Agency has published the study Trade Wind Integrating Wind - Developing Europe’s power market for the large-scale integration of wind power. The study analyses the integration of offshore and onshore wind energy into the European power system until 2030. The focus lies on the expansion of the transnational network and on the development of an integrated European electricity market.
