Competence Network Rostock - Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

Rostock Business serves as a "one-stop agency" for investors doing business in Rostock and helps investors to find the ideal site and create local business networks. Rostock Business' initiative "Offshore Energies- Competence Network Rostock" represents a network of companies involved in developing the offshore industry in the region.

wab - Wind Energy Agency Bremerhaven/Bremen e.V - Bremen

The Wind Energy Agency Bremerhaven/Bremen (WAB) was founded in 2002. To date, almost 150 companies and institutes have joined the association as members. The goal of WAB is to support the wind energy network of the region and beyond with organizational and technical expertise. WAB’s work focuses on the future development of the use of offshore wind energy and repowering measures in coastal areas. WAB helps its members to develop innovative projects and structures, offers expert seminars and hosts conferences. WAB also assists the sector in its lobbying, public relations and marketing activities. WAB is financed by EU funds and Bremen/Bremerhaven.

CEwind - Center of Excellence - Schleswig-Holstein

CEwind is the wind energy research network of the universities in Schleswig-Holstein. Its goal is to ensure a sustainable transfer of competences between science and industry. Its major tasks are to initiate and carry out research and development projects, to provide technical support in innovation plans, to arrange further academic education and to create and develop networks in the wind energy sector. The network’s members are working on ten research projects, with the main focus on the field of offshore wind energy. CEwind is supported by the government of Schleswig-Holstein and the European Social Fund.

ForWind - Center for Wind Energy Research - Lower Saxony

ForWind is the wind energy research centre of the University of Oldenburg and Hanover. In nine projects promoted by Lower Saxony, ForWind investigates the problems and opportunities associated with the use of (offshore) wind energy. Its analytic expertise and its tailor-made solutions have established ForWind as a competent partner to the wind and power supply industry. ForWind also develops accompanying training concepts for the sector.

fk-wind - Research and Coordination Centre Wind Energy - Bremen

The Research and Coordination Centre Wind Energy (fk-wind) coordinates wind energy research and development in the federal state of Bremen, performs its own research projects and transfers the results to education and industry. The Wind Energy Research Network created by fk-wind is accessible to partners in industry research and public administration in the field of wind energy utilisation. Fk-wind is supported by the federal state of Bremen and by the European Fund for regional development.

windcomm - Netzwerkagentur Schleswig-Holstein  - Schleswig-Holstein

windcomm was founded in 2004 as a project of the Foundation for Economics in North Friesland (Wirtschaftfördergesellschaft Nordfriesland) and the Brunsbüttel development company (Entwicklungsgesellschaft Brunsbüttel).
Its goal is to strengthen the regional supply chain for the use of renewable energies along the west coast and in Schleswig-Holstein (SH). The aim of windcomm is to encourage companies and institutions from the renewable energy sector to settle in SH, to support established companies, to pool competences, to initiate projects and coordinate activities. windcomm acts as a central manager for the wind energy sector in SH.
The network project windcomm is financed by the government of SH under the scope of the Regionalprogramm 2000. windcomm startet operations on 1 May 2004.

IWES - Fraunhofer-Institut for Wind Energy and Energy System Technology - Bremen/Hessen

The new Fraunhofer Institute for Wind Energy and Energy System Technology IWES has arisen from the Fraunhofer CWMT in Bremerhaven and the Institute for Solar Energy Supply Technology ISET in Kassel. Thus, it offers research and development along the value chain of wind turbines from material development to grid integration. Fraunhofer IWES project groups in Hanover and Oldenburg will complete the spread of offers of the institute. Furthermore, the Fraunhofer IWES is going to work in close collaboration with the “northern universities” in Hanover, Bremen and Oldenburg as well as the university in Kassel.

DEWI - Deutsches Windenergie-Institut - Lower Saxony

DEWI GmbH is a leading international research and consulting company with offices in Spain, France, Italy, Canada, China and Brazil. As a member of national & international committees, DEWI actively participates in the definition of standards and guidelines. Offshore wind energy is one of the main areas of research at DEWI. Technical risks and requirements are analysed in research projects such as the FINO1 platform and RAVE. Research & services, this is a combination from which more than 1,100 customers in over 45 countries benefit.

Cuxhaven offshore center of excellence - lower saxony

The offshore center of excellence Cuxhaven is a provider of BOSIET-equivalent safety training, especially for non nautical windfarm personnel.
In our cooperation system we further offer comprehensive trainings of all kinds, as well as preparatory advice on the equipment and the creation of security concepts. Even in cause of our unique and realistic training, we are THE contact in the field of education, training and retraining of employees of enterprises engaged directly or indirectly in the offshore wind industry or want.
